Alright, so I got a new door shell for my truck (an '81) and I want to transfer everything over. What all is involved in the process? Will I need any special tools or just a screwdriver and a ratchet? Any help would be appreciated!

everything should change over if it is a 77-91 door that is what you are swapping from.

Yeah, it's the stock door, no power locks or power windows or anything like that. Is it a long process?

hey i have 73-76 doors on my truck and i am going to switch the parts out of it and put it in 78 doors only thing that i know of is the window crank wont work so you should be ok

Should only need a Phillips screw driver#1 , & #3. A couple of 90 degree picks, a 1/4" drive ratchet set, particularly a 7/16" socket, a window crank lock clip tool, or a shop rag will work but might send the clip flying away. Some weasel pee, and white lithium grease.

No special tools. Remove the fender, remove the old door, install the new door and get the lines straight, transfer all the goodies, reinstall and line up the fender, and paint.
