Has anyone put driving or fog lights in the openings of an 82 bumper where the turnsignals were?
-
Yep, a few times. They also make good steps for getting under the hood!
-
Ha! Never thought of steps. Got any pics? The openings are about 8 x 3 inche and I'd like to find a light that is close to that size. Everything I've found though is not even close. Any suggestions?

I might have pics somewhere? Who only knows, I have tons of them from stuff I have done over the years. If I remember correctly the bigest ones I have put in there are 5" x 2".

Here's what I'm working with so far. The bumper and attachments will all be powdercoated black when done.

I think it is PIAA that makes a rectangle light that will fit.
This one is 5 7/8 x 2 1/16: http://www.piaa.com/Lamps/Lamp-pages/p-3000.html

great minds eh! I've welded a plate behind the bumper light holes and will filler them smooth. I've got to make a "blanking" plate to fit the sidelight hole and mount indicator in that. I'm using two small white LED's for the sidelight :)

They "fit" but they don't fill the space up as much as I would like. Oh well, it's probably the best option.
EDIT: dang!!! I just looked at the price! Ouch!
