Hi there, I just joined up and after buying a 1983 C10 Suburban. It's in pretty good shape. Need to fix some rusty bottom doors, inner fenders, and a few other areas.

Welcome SlickMainer. Nice 'burb. I bet you got a good deal on it just because it is a sub though. The higher the petro prices go, the cheaper the subs get--but I don't care, my vehicle is paid for so it is still cheap transportation. I oughta know, I got a 1991 3/4 ton 4x4 5.7 sub (http://www.delbridge.net/suburban) that I got from the rust-free desert of Arizona.

Yep Im in Portland Maine, I got it for $1500. Needs some body work to pass the Maine Inspection, and some new gaskets but im only going to use it for camping and pulling a bass boat. Even if it lasts only a couple of years, it's a good deal.
