im switching a throttle body motor for a carb. how should i do the fuel pump?
-
The whole engine or just the induction system?
We need more info. Year truck, current setup etc...
-
whole motor. its a 90 chevy truck with a tbi. 305 im putting in a 350 with edelbrock carb
-
I'd keep the electronic pumps and put a regulator on it (since it's already there).
-
i wont have to pull the tank or anything? just run the lines to my carb with a regulator?
-
Why not keep it fuel injected?
-
It would be easier and more economical if the truck is currently setup as a TBI to just drop it in.
If it currently is setup to run a TBI, you are going to have to buy new fuel return/supply lines EFI rated to feed the carb and put a regulator inline.

Unless its gonna be a hot rod, listen to these guys and keep the TBI. I have many regrets about the choices I have made for my truck, not the least of which was keepin' it carb'd.
