Title: Step Side Wood ?
Post by: joesgarage71 on June 19, 2008, 06:36:11 pm
What are the diamensions on the wood floor pieces? Is this correct?
 2 PCs-77" L X 3/4"H X 5 1/8" W
 5 PCs-77" L X 3/4"H X 7 1/8 W
I'm going by the old floor I have, But of course the wood is old, split and rotted. I have 7 PCs of old oak floor I saved from a shed I torn down, roughly cut and I'm ready to finish cut to size, plane to 3/4" and dado cut the strip joints. The fenders are getting smoothed at a friends. The bed project is starting to come together nicely. Soon Old Rusty will have a new bed.

This is how it turned out pretty good I think, I used walnut stain. I have about 10 hrs and 12 bucks in it.

Not bad not bad at all, i`m debating on wether to use chrome strips or have mine painted the same color as the truck but i`m also undecided on using either cedar or maple for the wood.

thanks
