Not sure exactly which part you are talking about? Do you mean the drip rail mouldings? Or the windshield locking strip?

Sounds like he's referring to the Locking Strips for the front and rear glass....  My experience with them, they can go in easy, or can be a total pain in the Differential....  Really depends on weither the glass is properly seated, the gaskets/seals were manufactured correctly....  I have found that on the front,if you take your time starting at the top center of one side, and go down & around to the other, it will be faster(Can go even faster with another person, but again take your time, or you will be fighting them for alignment)....

Or just use the tool and some soapy water or windex and it'll go right together

I personally prefer the Black strip. It doesn't get brittle, change color, peel & is easier to install because it is more flexible which makes it more forgiving later if you need to change the windshield. If you haven't already got the Chrome (or don't have your heart set on it) Most auto glass shops can get it or a trip to the yards, a couple years had Black. Just a thought, Lorne

Haulin and Blazin, either one of you have pics of your Black trim???  I have been thinking about doing it myself, but the majority of the trucks around me only have the Chrome Strips....  I would prefer to have the Chrome Strips, but again they Fade,Crack, Peel, and around here most have a rust like discoloration also.....
