Title: Shaving the pinch weld seam
Post by: Monzter on June 25, 2008, 01:00:21 am
I'm looking at removing the pinch weld seam ( the seam at the bottom of the rockers ) on my Suburban, just not sure how I want to go about doing it. If anybody has done this I'd like hear how you did it, some pics would be awesome.

Monzter, That would be quite an undertaking, not impossible by any means, just a time consuming operation. The best way would be to cut about 1" wide areas every 6" or so & weld the spot (to hold the two panels together) then go back & cut off the rest & tack in the middle & finish welding it up. Have Fun! Lorne
