Unless it was molded or sealed on, all Fullsize Blazer/Jimmy Tops came off... It was just around '75 that they went 3/4 style('75 and later), as opposed to the Full Convert Style of the Earlier Years... GM/Ford/Dodge had Nader and the NHTSB breathing down it's neck, due to some idiots that had rolled full convert. Blazer/Jimmy's/Bronco's/Ram Chargers, and decapitated themselves :-X What's that, you mean to tell me that a Convert. SWB lifted truck, even at stock height isn't meant to be driven like a Sports Car???(Most of the Injuries/Fatalities occured during excessive speeds, especially cornering, but most of the Parents on Naders Bandwagon refused to believe their Sweet Innocent Tommy/Jenny could do such a thing)... ::)
-
73-75 was full removable top. 76 had a roof but the tops were all removable.
-
That is a very sweet K5! Love that two-tone paint job. :)

Yes you are correct, I seem to be off by an Automotive Model Year, when it comes to the Seventies.... :-X

Dang that's a sucky outcome :-[ Sorry bout the loss Bro! :-\ I feel your pain, my Ex took Great Pride driving my '87 Lesabre 2dr into the ground, cause she knew how much I enjoyed it >:(

Nice ride, not really a big fan of ginormous wheels, but those looks nice. I’ve always heard that big rims make the ride of the vehicle rough, is that true? ???
-
i just wanted to start a thread so i can document the build it shouyld go very fast
here it is the first day i got it i put the wheels on before i could take a pic

ls2 with a 4l70e tranny and all wiring out of a trailblazer ss with 5,000 miles
-
This belongs here in the "rides" section since it is all about your rides. Projects would be LS install or how to drop, etc.
-
thats what i was doing( i thought) i was starting a build thread with the motor swap you have to start somehere lol
-
you put it in the members project section. If you are planning on detailing a LS install only, I will move it back, but you indicated that it would be a complete truck build based on the post.

Wow, beauty Blazer! Two tone paint jobs with a silver bottom and dark upper are one of my favorite schemes. And it being a 2wd brings back fond memories for me. First vehicle I ever owned was an 81 Jimmy 2wd Sierra Classic in 1992. Red bottom and white upper. I had it repainted metallic black with a GM Slate Grey top. It was sharp.
You're going to have a real slick cruiser there. Enjoy! I even still have the factory console from my 81 that my brother built a bandpass subwoofer enclosure in holding an 8" sub complete with plexi window.

Nice interior. BTW I fixed your avatar.
-
thanks, that was a cool suprise ;D
-
Very nice ride 8)

Again, very nice. That painted dash is brave. Did you lay fiberglass mat over top of the factory vinyl to make it paintable? And I see you have power windows and door speakers. I take it that the door mids do not protrude into the door metal at all? On my truck with power windows, the motor mechanism is directly behind the metal.
-
yeah it's a complete enclosure so i didn't have to ut the door
