Hey chaps,
Just been offered this 84' burb for my blazer as a straight swap...totally indecisive at the moment,i owned one a few year back but it was ex USAF and was pretty plain.
its a 350/350 2wd and apart from the dent in the drivers side rear door its real solid.
Don't you just hate it when people offer you a trade.

Do you need more room and don't need 4x4?

I'd keep the blazer

Could do with the room,4x4 aint a biggy were i live..the thing putting me off is the extra sheet metal to deal with when it goes...i love the blazer but the burb is a whole different beast,i'm gonna put it into the hands of you guys and start a poll.. ???.

I am partial to subs, but, to each his own. Depends on what you like and what you need it for.
By the way, ensure no dead bodies come with the sub, i see it is from the Coroner's Office. And, what is under that white blanket? Another body?

If you throw it in our hands, put up a pic of your blazer as well.
I am still freaked about the white blanket lying in front of the coronrer's suburban.

;D thats from a local show, its my mate under the blanket...the sub took 3rd place that day,noy bad for a daily runner.
I think the best way i could go around it is to borrow it for a week and see how it goes.

I think you did a pretty nice job with the blazer. I know after all the work i've done on my truck i wouldn't consider many trades at all.

Thats what is praying on my mind, with the blazer i know what does need doing and whats been done, sorta like a family member now.. ;D... and knowing my luck i'll do the trade and the burb will blow up a week down the road.
Plus the blazer can shed its roof when needed...its in the blazers favor at the minute.. ;)

I personally would keep the blazer. If his won 3rd at the show, yours would of taken 1st. Subs are a dime a dozen here, blazers are the ticket. I would thank him for the offer, and wish him a good day. The sub doesn't look much better than the one in your previous post that was used for parts. Unless you have a faimly of more than 5, I wouldn't think twice about it, and if you do have a larger family, then look into the rules as far as roof mounted seats, and or in running shoes for the strongest one, lol. Even making two trips would be better. I don't see where you would be upgrading my friend.

Roof mounted seats..excellent..lol.
Yes i think i'll keep the old blazer,i know the thing so best stick with that...cheers for all the comments chaps they have been 'fun' yet informative.. ;)

good choice. I am a sub fan, but, you have character in that Blazer. I just looked at the old threads again...very nice.
-
Many thanks sarge..

You made the right choice, I don't care how clean that sub was. Plus the shorter wheelbase make the Blazer easier to maneuver on tiny UK streets.

Very good point...the weekly shop with the cadillac was pain enough,i think all brit supermarkets should have provision for american classics...wotcha think bitzer, should we petition them... ;)

I just take up four spaces anyway!! You know what this governments like for petitions- they read it, see it has thousands of signatures and still do what they want!!
