Title: GRRRRR I hate dishonest people
Post by: VileZambonie on July 21, 2008, 08:28:51 pm
Well i'm on my 5th starter in my bike 2 years. That's right! I'm a pro at changing starters lol My stock starter couldn't handle the high compression so I opted for one of these high torque starters. I bought it on eBay. Buyers beware. I pulled the starter that is 2 weeks old out and pulled it apart. I couldn't believe my eyes. It looked like it came out of the ocean and the brushes are toast. So either this guy is selling used junk or these things are junk from the get go. Check out the pix.

This guy is totally non communicative and not helpful either.

Dang, that looks nasty. Have ya tried to have any communication with eBay? Don't know if it would help but it might help you vent a little good luck on that one.

Ebay can be a great source of items, however buyer beware.

Pathetic. eBay is of no help because it's a warranty issue that the guy isn't doing anything about.

Maybe one of the board members in Arkansas could return/exchange the starter for you in person.

Personally I'm a Sucker for the "TINK" an Aluminum makes during contact ;D and I usually can still get a few other swings in ;)

Vile, you gotta stop riding that bike in the winter up here!   :P

Sorry about the bad luck.  eBay has its share of scumbags for sure.
