Replacing the radiator...
74, auto, 5.7, 2WD
I'm looking at a two and a three row and I'm trying to decide if it is worth the extra $50 to go to a three row.
The truck is just a driver at the time, but it does have a EDE 650cfm, High performance HEI dist, Weind Manifold, soon to add headers and exhaust, small cam...
Looking for opinions or experience with replacement.

I went through the same debate and ended up going with a modern-style plastic/aluminum single row radiator made by Proliance. It works great, no regrets.

I went with a four-core in my 79. I don't regret a second of it. It was only $198.
If ever you get AC, or use it for pulling in the future, or whatever, the little bit of extra money is worth it.

Well I ordered the 2 row and a single row plastic tank showed up at my door. One phone call and I found that the 2 row had been superceded with this... So after all I ended up with a 3 row for right at $200 from completeradiators.com. Good service and they corrected my wrong radiator promptly. The radiator is a proliance and they can be found a few dollars cheaper if you shop around, but buying from the source with the support I received was worth it.
Thank you for the input guys.

I searched around a long time for the best price on a radiator and the best price I found was actually from JCWhitney -- $130 to the door (plastic/aluminum). I might be wrong, but I don't think that price can be touched...
