Title: high output alternator
Post by: wrangler on July 22, 2008, 08:16:54 pm
I have to replace my alternator and I'm going bigger but I'm not sure what's meant by one wire.  I see this everywhere now.  I've got the two that are in a plug and one thats attached to the back.  If this is not the same, how would I make one work with my wiring?

You simply run one wire with either a maxi fuse or your factory fusible link to the junction block to the generators b+ terminal. The field wire senses the same voltage signal so the internal circuitry does the same thing.
