Title: a couple of questions

i read somewhere you can use a 12volt battery and a bucket of water to clean rusty hardware . does anyone know how to do this???
Second i am restoring my firewall currently. Does anyone know what to use to seal the airconditioning housing back to the firewall.

I believe you are referring to electrolytic rust removal

Use Butyl (dum dum) tape on your ac box.

thanks for the tips. i am now happily cooking the lower part of my steering column which was very rusty. then i will re lube the bearing. painless rust removal. nice idea.

take some digital pics of the process and detail what you did and maybe Chris will add them to the Technical Pages.  I am sure you are not the only one who has asked about that.
