I was just sitting around today and it hit me, has anyone attempted a crew cab stepside? I guess it might look silly but cool things often come through experimentation. And really, isn't customizing all about going against the norm? I have an 81 stepside and a small part of me is curious as to how it would turn out. What do you guys think?

Sounds Kool! I'm a Sucker for a MorDor(More than 2!), so I say go for it if you can! 8) 8) 8) I have only seen later model(90's and up) 4dr Steps, and those weren't built directly by GM....

I recently saw a late model (1999-2006) 1500HD crew cab with a matching stepside bed. It really looked no different from the extended cab stepsides that the factory produced, so it didn't stand out so much until you realized it was a crew cab. (Not that this has anything to do with our trucks).
As a known fan of stepsides, I'd like to see what this looks like on a 73-87, as well!

I found this on the internet a couple months ago, and I know of 1 other one that someone is building like this.

Wow, so I'm not totally weird! :P I know there's in a crew cab at the local wreckers that's in decent shape however, I don't have the money, space, or experience for such an undertaking. Maybe in a few years.
