Title: how much paint
Post by: loudnlow87 on July 27, 2008, 03:04:53 pm: gonna strip my truck down to bare metal soon, epoxy prime it, do bodywork and paint it soon. need to know if anyones sprayed their entire truck, and how much material did they use. fenders, hood, doors, bedsides, headgate, tailgate, cab and back of cab. im thinkin a gallon of epoxy primer and 1.5-1.75 gallons of paint.

You say a gallon of epoxy primer, what about your filling primer? Is the finish fill primer going to be tinted similar color to the paint? I have used as much as a gallon of epoxy primer, and two gallons of high build urethane primer on a truck and two or more gallons of paint or clear.

7 oz mixed paint x # of panels x # of coats
