I got these Taillights from a buddy of mine for free They came off a 90 camaro Well i'm thinking of if possably installing these in a row pan on my truck :-\ ???
Any ideas
-
LOL can we say maybe i should read it before posting :D

I don't think the standard rollpan will be "tall" enough to fit them.. Anything is possible with some time and a welder. I would suggest flipping them upside down if you attempt it.
-
I would personally look elsewhere for taillights. Those are too big and would look awkward IMO. What about '69 Camaro taillights mounted upside-down, at each corner? Or '67 Camaro taillights pulled in toward the center a bit?
-
i say go for it; It looks very possible; i've put monte carlo (78) tailights on a cavalier. They actually bolted in.
The point is, if you can dream it, it probably can be done.

Not sure I'd like it....

I'm going with a deep red or a dark blue no chrome trim and the light would be going in to the lower edges of the bed so you'll be able to see the light from the sides
-
Wouldnt be bad if they were blacked out
-
Just a suggestion,
Vile did the cadillac taillights on his truck and they look pretty cool, I`m doing the caddy taillights myself on a rollpan for my stepside but i`m turning them horizintal like the camaro taillights here.Ever thought of going with the caddy taliilghts and doing it this way? There are some that look cool but some that dont and i think the camaro ones make the back look to blocky or out of place.
thanks
pat

Well they don't look too bad on Vile's truck.. It's certainly not what ya'd call a stock look.
-
Yea i think your all right i have looked and looked at the pic and i don't like it. It sounded good in my head but looking at it on that pic of the truck not so sure anymore Thanks to all of you

Actually if you look at the camaro lights in real life you'll see they also are angled on the corners and would stick out quite a bit or have to be recessed and would not look right.
-
^ Yep. They are just too large.
I've seen tailights from the MK IV Toyota Supra (last generation) put into a roll pan for a 97-03 Dakota and that looked pretty decent.
-
I know I will get shot for this, but....
Look at Toyota Supra tails for the roll pan. I had a friend with a 98 dually with them and they looked good.
-
like these?
-
Yep, thats them.
-
those do look good what year supra so i can look for them :)
