If I disconect the smog pump and the ac will I get some power. I passed smog and so I dont need the pump but I am worried that it could go bad if it is not in use. Do you guys think if I remove the belt and them install it again when I need to smog again that it won't have any problems. I also want to install a throttle body spacer , a open ellement filter and a high flow cat. Will I feel any thing. How much power if I remove everything and add those mods. Will my my edu act up without the smog pump

From what I've heard, throttle body spacers don't do much at all. Waste of money. They slap "AirRaid" on an over-sized gasket and sell it for $70.

Realistically you won't see any noticeable difference from what you talked about doing. You have money more well spent in other areas for noticeable improvements.

This is exactly what my dad told me. I wanted to try out a TB spacer, but my dad convinced me to do something more noticeable and beneficial. I spent about $300 to get all new true duals. Headers, mufflers, and an exhaust shop. I would put your money towards something else.

I have a TBI spacer on my '95 4.3, It's made by trans-dapt and has a spiral design in the bores. It doesn't whistle like most of them do, and maybe .2 seconds better on 0-60 and MAYBE a mile a gallon better economy.
