Sledge hammer and ice pick? :evil

Use a heat gun and a plastic bondo applicator

There is a tool that works in and air hammer, but a nice wide putty knife works well. I like hyde brand putty knifes because because the handles take the hammer hits well. I get the knife started then swat it along behind the molding with my body hammer. As long as you don't bend or distort it it will be fine for reuse. I shave off the glue / tape with a razorblade on the vehicle and the trim.

use fishing wire/piano or guitar string and wrap both ends around the handle of a hammer (or something similar) so it looks like |----| and use that in a saw motion behind the trim

And even before you use the fishing line, you still need to heat the molding. Once the molding is off you can use some Goo Gone and clean the surface. Then wax.
