Wow Vile, looks like you change your Trucks Colors, about as often as some guys change their.... :D Hey Wait, I thought your Trucks a Shorty, better get a cropping ;D
-
Is that a set of Hoosier's on the back? Man that truck has sure went thru some changes. How long have you had that one? Any progress from the body shop yet? Ok enough with the question already. Sorry just curious.
-
I should have clarified they aren't the same truck. 3 different trucks I had. The Blue one is now my black one (74)
The white one is a 1980 C-10 400 SBC Twas my first Chevy Truck :D
-

Here is what was left of my first truck:

Here is a Burb I got that ran and drove, sold the motor/trans and sold the rest to someone that wanted the tailgate:

This was probably the most missed truck I ever sold: 81 K10: factory quad shocks, SM465, dual tanks, A/C, full power, tach dash, bucket seats. It had just about every option on it.

Very cool! That's cool to see the various iterations your 74 has gone thru Vile. Always been a street warrior, eh? With those Hoosiers on there, did you take it to the strip?
I gotta scan some pics I have of my old 81 GMC Jimmy 2wd that was my first ever vehicle. Got it when I was 17. Loved it.
-
I like that 81...makes me want to get my 81 done soon. I have a soft spot in my heart for the grille and over-all appearance of the front end.
-
Her is my lost love and this is the only thing i have left and the memories lot of good ones
-
Toolmaster, I love that 76
-
I loved it too Vile, To bad it had to go on down the road back in the 80's. :-[
But I got to keep the memories. ;D

Ok I found one of my older pics. Here's what it looked like in 1992 I think and another of the most recent pics. 1st is with 4" lift and 33" tires had just been painted and I had the moulding added. Since then she has been painted twice no more moulding, 12" lift w/3"body lift 38.5 inch tires. Its only had 2 engines original was 305 changed to GM crate 350 in 94' still running strong the truck only has around 125,000 miles on it now. Ooops got carried away trying to remeber some of her history I've had her over 20 years. lots of changes over time.

Keeping a truck for 20 yrs in Ohio is a heck of a feat! :D (former Akron guy)

No kidding but to be honest it hasn't been in the snow since 94' she's pretty babied. Lives inside, and hasn't seen rain in years.

I sold it to buy the most missed vehicle I ever owned and sold, my 1997 Jeep TJ.
After lifting it with a RE 4.5", installing 33's and a spare set of 33 boggers on beadlocks, SYE, ARB lockers front/rear, 4.10 gears, full Rollcage, 99 drivers tip/slide seat bracket, winch plate, 9000i winch, blah blah blah, I sold it because I rarely took it offroad. I still have dreams about this Jeep...
This is was in April 97, 2 moths after I got it and when the softtop finally arrived for it and took the hardtop off to install the soft top. I actually put the hardtop back over the soft as it was COLD

Here it is how most like to see it. It was the above version 99% of its life. My wife wants another one...

Shut up... :D it's freakin Blue, Lapis Blue. Jamie and I were having this discussion last night....
-
^ heh Lapis Blue, I remember that color. I remember the local Dodge dealer having a 95 Avenger in that color and it sat on the lot for 2+ years as it would not sell.
-
....and the front tags matched the body color, wow!
-
^ heh Lapis Blue, I remember that color.
I actually special ordered it with this color. I plan to paint one of my trucks that color too.
-
I would imagine your TJ would have been really rare in that color as well. I don't think I've ever seen a Jeep in that color. The most I've seen in Lapis Blue are Caravans.
-
It was, until 1999 that I saw one that same color as none of the dealerships were going to order it. I stopped the guy and he said he special ordered it after he saw mine. His was a 98 model. I still see it every once in a while.
