Keep the stepside. Looks to me like you would regret it later on.
-
If I lived in Connecticut with all that snow I'd have to have that Burb. 4wd, new engine, roooooomy for all your stuff..
-
Don, I have to give it to ya. Going against the flow. Speaking your mind in an honest fashion.
I was thinkin the same thing, but was discouraged with all the up-to-that-point unanimous voting for the stepside. I personally do not like stepsides---so much wasted space in the bed, but, that is coming from a fleetside owner AND a SUB owner.
Make that TWO for the SUB. Yes I am partial--so what?
-
I have a burb and a stepside. I say keep or get whichever one you like the most. Both have their +/- It all really depends on what you want.
-
depends upon your needs- i do like my Burb, lots of people room which i personally need. it's great for that task, but it's alot bigger than some folks want!
-
Keep the stepside,
they just look so much cooler hotrodded out then burbans.
thanks
pat

Count my vote for keeping the stepside!

Man Bob77, I thought that pic would sway somebody.. ::)
Now here's a stepside- which one would you rather have, the burb or the stepside?/

I'm just too much of a short-bed chevy guy. Give me the stepside.

I never liked the square 1980 lights. But I LOVE stepsides. I have a pic of a guy who modified his lights....

I too dont like the square look on the 80 trucks with the square headlights, luckily for me my 80 came with the round ones.
thanks

Ok Don, there are some exceptions that are no brainers. Be nice.. Not all subs are as sweet as yours or the one pictured. You compared a turd to a dream machine. That would be an easy decision. His stepside is nicer than the sub that was offered in trade. Now, if that orange sub is offered, I'd take the sub.... I'd trade my extended cab for that sub..wow
-
Chop, I would trader you extended cab for that Suburban ;)
-
Oh yeah? :D

Now that's a Proper Looking 2Wheeler Burb! 8) 8) Would go with some composite headlamps to finish it out....

'67-70(69/70 would need the 67/68 Hood though) is really the Only way I would own a Stepside myself, unless were talking a 40's-50's Step, and then those are the only ones acceptable to be lifted or slammed....
I never liked the square 1980 lights. But I LOVE stepsides. I have a pic of a guy who modified his lights....
I used to have a Neighbor that had Quads on his Old '78 Step that was the same color brown, he later Painted it a Heavy Flake Black, and had Smoke Stacks behind the cab, with cab running lights on its top(A was a part of the Late 70's-Mid 80's Everybodys a Trucker Stage ::))....

Another "No Brainer". I would b e willing to let several projects go in that trade, LOL. That is an awesome ride. I might have a different opinion once I finish the extended cab, but I gotta get started first. Hopefully soon

Man those are some nice stepsides all right. Do you guys remember the 'little Red Wagon' that Dodge made in the mid 80's? did GM ever make something to match?
BTW- I like stepsides too. Just yankin some chains :D
-
Yes, it was the GMC Street Coupe and the Chevy Sport:

Fenderside. Good Lord, I'm glad somebody had the sense to switch names.
-
GMC was Wideside/Fenderside and was this way on all their designations up to now AFAIK.
Chevy was Fleetside/Stepside
