Title: TBI swapping
Post by: ponyracer on August 18, 2008, 08:49:22 am
Ok here goes, I have a 95 sub with a 350tbi/4l60e combo. I also have a 78 swb 2wd truck w/350/350 combo. I was going to swap the engine/tranny/wiring/dash from the sub into the 78 but I really don't like the dash in the 95. So I'm planning on doing the sub/blazer gastank swap, fuel lines, engine/tranny, cooling, and as much wiring as needed to make her run.

Now the question, where do I break the harness??? Is there a junction block so you can you have comp and the engine side and thats it or should I look for an aftermarket harness?? I don't want a huge rats nest of wiring because this will be a DD. And idea of mpg with this swap?

I'm in iraq at the moment so any vehicle specific questions will have to wait but I'll be home soon!!!!!!

Thanks

Are you wanting to know were you can cut the harness so it will be a stand alone?
I haven't ever looked at a 95, so I can't say for sure, but if you had a schematic for it that would simplify alot.  You can probably get a schematic from the dealership, that is where I got mine.
I would say you should get 17/22mpg on that setup.

Ya that's exactly what I'm trying to do. I'll have to look around for a schematic. I'm not to great at wiring though!!
