I am looking to replace the valve cover on my 77 250 Inline-6. I have been able to locate a few different options for the earlier 250's without the integrated head but none whatsoever for mine. If anyone has an idea where I may find a new valve cover (standard, chrome, aluminium..), I would appreciate the info.

AFAIK, there isn't any aftermarket valve covers for those....

Yeah, That's what I was afraid of.
Also, I am going to be repainting my 250 once I have repaired all oil leaks (and there aren't many). It seems as though at some point the valve cover and oil pan were either replaced or repainted. They are blue while the block is red/orange. It is my understanding that sometime right around 1977, Chevy switched from the Orange to the Blue for engine color. Does anyone know what the proper engine color would be for my 250 in a '77?
