how did you guys with AC modify the bracket when you got headers to make it work?

Here's how I had to modify mine.

oh wow thats a great pic thanks so much!

did u use spacers if so what size and from where thanks

I made the same cut on my bracket, but then I welded a piece from the bracket so I could bolt it to the third hole on the header flange. I actually used the round rod with the holes on each end from the smog pump. I bolted it to the third hole on the header and tacked it where it hit the A/C bracket, removed it and finished the weld.
I used the original studs from the exhaust manifold with some spacers.

Here are somepics I posted on photobucket of when I did mine. The bracket is from Hooker and it fits the rear end of the A6 compressor. I cut a piece of 1/2 gavanized water pipe I had to a length that would make up the thicknees of the factory exhaust manifold minus the thickness of the headerflange. I painted it black and used a longer bolt. Simple
