Can anyone tell me what my options are for shorty headers? I'm not sure which ones will fit. When I called my local speed shop the guy there said he only knew of full length headers for my application. That doesn't seem right.

have you seen this in the Technical forum?

The 88 up headers will fit nice with slight modification where the O2 bung is.

I love my Sanderson headers

I've heard some people complain of leaking problems. I've also heard that 4 bolt flanges are better than 3 bolt flanges in terms of leaking. Are there any tips I should follow to avoid this? I like the price of the Dynomax WLK-85118 shorties, but I noticed they have a 3 bolt flange. I assume the quality of these headers are decent otherwise Chris wouldn't have mentioned them. Any thoughts?

This goes for all headers that I've messed with... no leaks if you use copper or aluminum gaskets.
-
Use good quality headers, gaskets, torque sequencing and thread locker will work wonders also.

Sorry to hijack, but I will be getting a crate 350 for my 85 K10 pretty soon and I'm also wondering which will fit. Is it one of those things where you just have to get them and hope that they fit or are there some that will for sure fit with no problems or modifications needed. What about these? http://www.jegs.com/i/Dynomax/289/86003/10002/-1 Thanks

^ That's a wicked price for a pair of ceramic coated headers. In the import world, that wouldn't even buy ONE header, and it MIGHT be chrome plated! If you search "dynomax header" on here I think there is a thread talking about them and the quality of the coating wasn't that great. I could be wrong though.
