I removed my passenger side door panel yesterday and noticed to PO had welded the nuts for the window regulator to the door. It looks like they did this to repair enlarged holes.
The question is: Am I going to be able to remove the regulator without buggering up the door, or do I just need to get a new door?
Was hoping to take the truck to the body shop this week, but I don't want to let them paint the door if I'll destroy it later trying to get the nuts off.

What nuts are you talking about? The regulator should be held in by for 1/4 20 bolts. Did they weld the bolt heads/ If so just grind them off, then once the regulator is out use a pair of vise grips to turn out the rest of the bolt. Then have the body shop fix the holes up.

Did they weld the bolt heads
Yep, welded them right to the door panel.
The body shop said they'd fix it, no problem after all.
BTW, the two top attachment point for a power window regulator have studs and nuts, the two on the bottom are bolts and all are welded.
Thanks.
