Title: the black ball
Post by: maximus5541 on September 08, 2008, 06:43:43 pm
i was going to see if anyone could help identify what this connection goes to(the one that is lying on the fender), and what the round black thing is in the far right corner.
Thanks ahead of time

The Black ball is a vacuum resevior, you need it especially if you have AC.  The other plug depends on where it comes from and what it looks like...

Could it be the remnants of the elctonic spark control? My 81 had it but that was removed long ago.

along with the wires, there is a rubber hose in the harness with it. i traced the harness under the dash, but i could not see where it was going, it was going up pretty high in the dash.

The rubber hose attaches to a brake switch. It controls the cruise.
