Well I need to do a motor swap now. Lost oil pressure today at the bog. Made two more passes, she's toast! ::) Now what to put in ??? I have two great ruining TBI 350s, one has a serpentine belt set up. Would need to get an intake to run a carb. I have a good running 400 in a driving 1 ton pickup, but the frame and cab are rusted bad. And I have a running 454 but could use cam, lifters, timing chain, & for good messure an oil pump. Would also have to buy new headers. The small block swap I already have a brand new in the box pair of headers.

I would go big block ;D
-
Mud trucks like big blocks ;D
-
Big Block ;)
-
Although the big block would be cool. I think the mud likes those RPM's so I would be concerned with a stock big block. A stocker type small block will handle the RPM's you might need to pull through the mud!!
That being said, I like the big block just watch the tack a little closer.
-
We shall see, just pondering. probably end up with another small block for now to keep things on the cheap! The Dana 60, 14 bolt, & the 44"s did awesome

I would just run one of the 350's since you already have everything it'll be a cut and dry swap.
-
Find yourself a good 250! :D
-
drill out an aluminum intake to fit the TBI setup and swap one of the 350's in.
-
Ive got a 292, but it needs to be rebuilt!!!!!!

:D, yeah, Bob, and give him your carb for it. ;D
-
Yeah. That carb could use a little love. The float looks like a kevlar vest that has been shot at 3 or 4 times. The new one should be in this afternoon. So, barring any unforseen circumstances, the 77 should be back on the road tonight.
I hate to disappoint, but I do have to turn the monojet in for the core return. I'm sure Blazin will be terribly disappointed. :D

I vote for one of the 350 motors, Blazin. Parts are cheap!!!
-
400 all the way!
-
I don't get near mud so what do I know- but I would go for the torque maker 400 or 454 BB.
-
Picked up an intake last night to swap the TBI motor to carb. All I need now is filters, intake caskets, and several hours.
-
intake caskets
Intake caskets??? :D :D
Are we killing intakes now? :D

I think it has to do with Felx Plate :)
