I can't get it off my 350. Yes I made sure there isnt a washer in there. So far I broke 2 rented pullers from autozone, and 1 crafstman ratchet. I used some pb blaster. I used a big sledge hammer. I have not used heat though. Any suggestions other than cutting it off?

What are you pressing off of? You removed the center bolt and the pulley and are threading the puller into the balancer and pressing off of a smaller bolt in the center of the crank to avoid damaging the threads right?
-
yes Im doing it exactly as you described. done it many times over the years on many small block chevy motors. This is the first one that I have come across that has been stuck.

Try some penetrating oil like PB blaster, let it sit for a few and then try it again, if that doesnt work try some heat from like a torch and it sohuld come loose after that.
thanks

Yeah heat it but remember to replace your front oil seal.

Kroil works better than PB Blaster for me

Soak it Kroil for an hour
you are really not in a hurry at this point
Use an impact wrench
the vibration really helps

ok, 3 balancer pullers later, all with stripped threads. autozone exchanged everyone of them for free. 2 crafstman ratchets later. sears gladly exchanged those too. Some heat and a 5 lb sledge later its finally off ::)

see if you can find a ZZ4 balancer
I used to get new take-off for $35 on Ebay
