I have done it myself. I have soaked the drive shaft with PB Blaster/WD 40 over night. I air chiseled the old bearing race off, "carefully a few raps at a time per side" Then I put the shaft in the deep freezer over night and tap the new carrier bearing on the next day. My $.02

what does deep freezing it do plus i dont have a freezer to put it in im sure the wife would kill me if i put in my house freezer

I put it in a couple of plastic garbage bags. The freezer shrinks the shaft a tiny amount and not much force is needed to tap the new bearing in place. I have done it for hub bearings on FWD cars as well. I don't have any full service autoparts stores I can rely on close by.
