Title: turbo 350 dipstick seal?
Post by: jefferias on September 28, 2008, 12:34:54 pm
H i guys    had my tranny rebuilt maybe got like 15000kms, started leaking bout maybe 2 months ago.  so i replaced the pan gasket and filter 3 weeks ago thinking this would get rid of my problems. no luck just slowed down a lil bit.  now i bought a dipstick tube grommet and am pretty sure this is the source of the leak. my question is--  do you have to drain the fluid out b4 you change the seal or will it be ok to do when full.  i really dont wanna drain it again so any thoughts are appreciated.

Jack up the drivers side as high as possible and you will never spill a drop. Be sure to use jackstands or other suitable supports. The tube is kind of hard to take out of its location but can be done.
