Title: Inspection cover for tranny?
Post by: jbgk10 on October 07, 2008, 10:25:09 am
I just bought a 1975 chevy k10.. I have a lot to do to it but its holding together. The only thing that's preventing me from taking it wheeling is my inspection cover. Maybe   or a salvage yard?
Thanks

It should be fairly easy to find one at a salvage yard, if you have a yard that has any early GM's.  If not here's a fancy-pants dressed-up chrome cover from mr gasket (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=MRG%2D5115&N=700+301069+115&autoview=sku).  You know, for that crowning jewel that no one will ever see and will get covered in mud anyways.

Inspection cover over the Transmission tunnnel or the torque converter?  I would get one from the junk yard.
