Title: oil filter assembly???
Post by: jefferias on October 18, 2008, 06:31:27 pm
hi guyz.  k heres the deal- i have an 84 gmc 1500.  i just put a 89 350 in it and switched evereything back to my stock specs- v-belts, carb and so on.  i picked up a set of headers and mufflers with pipe for a steal off my buddy at work.  in the process of installing and got the pass. side finished and moved on to drivers side.  problem is that the motor was from a 4x4 and so the oil filter is horizontal instead of vertical. so now i need a 2wd vertical style. my question is will any 2wd ass. fit or is it year specific.   im pretty sure its just unbolt the 2 bolts and pull down and bolt replacement up.  just making sure if there are any size/bolt pattern issues.  any input will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance  oh yeah the oil cooler lines on mine are plugged im not using them so that not an issue.

Just take the oil filter adapter off of your old motor and swap it in.
