Title: NP-205
Post by: shankbonanza on October 24, 2008, 03:22:41 pm
I just pulled out my th350 from my 1980 1/2 ton.  it was mounted to a np-205.  I have the tranny almost completely rebuilt and painted lookin good.  I just want to quickly clean up my tcase.  could I just block off my mounting area where the tcase connects to the tranny and lightly sandblast so I can paint or is there more to take care of.  Thanks guys!

Best thing to do while it is out is just to use either a grinder with a wire wheel, or a wire brush and scrub the pee out of it. Not much point I have found in painting them, they paint never seems to want to stick for more than a month or 2 of wheeling. Then it looks worse than just having a clean case.
