Hey guys... Just wondering how much it would cost to bring a shop my tranny and have them rebuild it.. What prices am I looking at? I havn't had time to run by a shop and ask but have been wondering.. Thanks!

your best bet is to call a local rebuilder to get an accurate price.

It really depends on a lot of factors...like how many shops in your area, and the value of a dollar in certain areas. In New York you're probably talking 2 grand, in Mississippi it'll be probably 600 bucks. Impossible for us on an internet site to let you know...as Vile said, get some quotes, they should be able to tell you over the phone due to everyone knowing what a th350 is. You can save some money if you remove/install, just take them the tranny.

alright thanks guys!

I took mine into a shop and they charged me like $450 for a complete rebuild, shift kit and a brand new torque converter. They will be doing my TH400 For around $650 or so for the same thing plus some performance parts.

Dang trannies are cheap where yall come from. They're around $850-$1000 here for a 350 or 400 bone stock but that includes removal and installation in vehicle though.

I had a quote, where I took my th350 out and turned it over to a shop and they'd still charge me $1200, asked two different shops and received about same quote.
