i have a 85 gmc sierra 4x4 and it has a 6 cyl the rings are shot wanting to put a 350 in it. its got a 4 speed manual trans my question is from what range of years will a 350 sit and bolt right in i know ill have to get a new radeater an fan shroud thanks

any year 350 will work. You need to change the engine mounts on the frame though.

85 and newer will bolt right in because they are a one piece rear main seal engine. A two piece rear main seal motor will work but you will have to get a fly wheel that fits a two piece rear seal crank. If it were me I would swap in a bigger diameter clutch, which might require a bigger flywheel anyway.

I thought '86-up were one-piece rear main seal.

I have heard that before too, but I had an 85 built 5-85 and it was a one piece rear main seal.
