Title: Anyone else have problems with Cobra King reproduction parts?
Post by: nucknoel89 on November 16, 2008, 05:34:29 pm
Alright well a while back I replaced my driver's side fender and door cause the old ones had pretty much disintegrated.  However, they don't seem to line up like the originals.  I'm definitely not a bodyman, but no matter what kind of adjustments I've made, neither part seems to sit like the originals.  The curves don't quite match.  I'll try to get a few pics later.  Also, with the stepside fenders, the bolt holes didn't quite line up either.  Anyone else used Cobra King?  How did it work for you?  Would I be better off just getting solid originals off a donor?

Never used them nor heard of them personally but every aftermarket panel I've ever used required elongating holes and manipulation to make them look good. If the fit terrible return them and try using the ones Chris sells here. OEM fits the best but is expensive and hard to find now.

Ditto, most will require some kind of manipulation to make them fit.  Nothing will bolt on directly and work.

Ah, I see, thanks.  I guess it doesn't help that I got 'em through a distrbutor that I later found out you strongly recommend against....
