Hi GREAT SITE!!!!
I have an 84 c-10 and Im going to do an axle flip on but I dont know if I this will change the pinion angle or not?I guess I could just check before and after it should be the same right?
Any help would be appreciated!!

Who's kit are you doing the flip with. Are you long bed or short bed?
If it is a quality kit the angle will be built into the mount.

Yes it lowers the truck.

Cool. I figured, but I thought I'd ask to be sure. I'd only ever heard of the Shackle Flip kits for lifting the truck....

Long beds sometimes need shimming on hanger kits, but the flip should be fine.

Thanx One more question if i can,I know there is no definite amount of inches the rear of the truck will drop it depends on spring packs(overload removed or not).I plan to leave the spring pack together and install the flip then i will measure to see what im left with.My question is if I end up getting a 5 or 6 inch drop what would be the best way to bring the front down as I have not ordered anything for the front yet but have researched and found the biggest spindle drop to be 3" (i think)What would be the best way to get to 4 inches if I need to(1"spring or split the difference in spring and spindle)???I need this truck to be able to be aligned correctly with no problems as I will drive it eveyday!

Measure the rear before and after the flip kit if you want an accurate measure of the drop. (measure both times at the same exact place.)
for the front to be level with the rear on a flip, you need 3" spindle and either 1" OR 1.5" springs.
if you want it to be raked, you need the amount of the rake.
Generally 4/6 sits level and 5/7 sits level.

I know this is an old post, but it sounds like you are still in the planning stages. One thing that wasn't mentioned here is what size wheel you are running. If you go with a 3" spindle and your running 15x8's on the front you will have to deal with clearance issues on the A-arms. Your going to have to trim or grind the A-arm or run a narrow 15" wheel. A larger diameter wheel can solve that issue as well.

Just started and finished the c-notch today,im just bolting it in for now wanted to weld it but if I have to change something its a big hassle..
Im thinking about wheels I have a set of American racing wheels decent shape I got layin around but they are 5x4.75 bolt pattern and Im not sure about using adapters maybe someone can chime in?Dont really have the dough for new wheels and tires right now.Need to replace my leaf spring bushings then the rear suspension stuff will be done.
