windshield swap
« on: March 02, 2009, 10:05:14 pm »
Hey all just picked up a 1981 chevy heavy half scottsdale, regular cab, long box with the rear view mirror broken and crack starting. Just wondering if the windshield from my 1979 gmc sierra 3/4 ton regular cab long box. If so is it best left to a professional or could one do it by them self?

You didn't complete the second sentence, but you can put the 79 in the 81.  If you install it like the factory did, you can do it yourself.

there the same 73-87 the only difference is your antenna and the window seal but i would have someone do it for you and watch you around here you can get someone to put it in new glass and seal for 180 if you crack the window taking it out or putting it in when you go to get one out of the junkyard you pay 80 w/o a seal
