OK this is what i have msd 6al, Multi step retard pn 8972, msd dis w/ a green and gray wire, blaster coil pack and a rpm module 3.0-5.2
i found this web site for the 6al


This is for the Retard
Black - To ground
Red - To Switched 12 volts (Ignition on/off)
Yellow - To white wire on MSD 6AL
Violet - To Starter Solenoid Switched 12 volt wire

White - To Points or amplifier trigger wire
Violet/Green - To Distributor Mag (+) and Mag (-)
Note: You will only use either the White Wire or the Violet/Green Wire. Never both

Brown - First retard stage activation wire
Orange - Second retard stage activation wire
Gray - Third retard stage activation wire

now my question is what do i do i have never wired up one of these and am confused about it all the web sit if you could point me into the right diagram then i could go from there. i want to say i think my set up would be the second on page 12 but i don't know

MSD Has good directions, install and follow them for the 6al and dist. I wouldn't even mess with the retard.

lol i forgot to post the web site but thats it. i got tired of the truck just sitting around so i went to put in the old hei and no fire so first things first i tried to see if the batt wire was getting any juice i thought it wasn't so i just the batt strait to the distributor and still nothing. i think its pretty much just the wires in the distributor and instead of putting money into it i have to get the msd hooked up.
