How to remove box trim
«

I purchased a rust free box but will not be keeping the side chrome trim. I see the rear corner trim of the box is held on by metal brackets, but how is the side trim held on? Brackets or sticky stuff?
Best way to remove it?
Thanks for any suggestions.

its like a sticky tape itself. if its original it shouldn’t be that hard to remove

A wide putty knife and a light hammer will peel it right off. Then a razor scraper, or a eraser wheel on a drill takes the tape off.
