Ok so I looked at the yoke of the drive shaft and it sticks out like 3 inches... called up monster and dude quoted me like 1700 bucks of stuff. Not happenin. I'm gonna find that shop around here that had the trans for 450 and see what they have done to up grade it. If I feel as though it will get me by long enough to buy the monster in a box for 700 then Ill go that route

Well I'm gonna have a trans guy build the 700r4 for 200 bucks. Its cheaper than buyin all the speacial tools cause I'm just getting the basic monster in a box kit. So I hope this trans holds up.

for 200, what are they putting in it?  Anything after 1987 will have the 30 spline pump.  And is this going behind a 454?

200 to rebuild... I buy the parts (500) and supply the core(69). But $$$ are low now so I'm just gonna wait on the trans. Hopefully the th350 in now is still some good. Also I'm gonna stome by the school that I went to for ac. They have an automotive department. I want to see if they will do it for free:) I hope they do.

Oh... forgot to say its going to be a 350. When I first joined here I was on the hunt for a truck with a 454 already done up ready to go. But that hunt lead me all over tx with no good turn outs:(. So I decided to just get a truck for less than1000 put a engine and trans in it and have reliable transportation for now till the truck becomes a weekend cruiser or gas prices go down some.
