Came home the other day after driving my 73 K10, came out of the house and it wouldn't start, looked around and couldn't find any thing wrong, couple hours later, it started fine. Day before that my dome light quit working and every time I put in a new fuse it blows instantly, now when I turn on the headlights, left blinker is constantly lit.........OH and now it won't start.

     Which fuse is blowing exactly ?  My 74 did that (except it was the right blinker that stayed on in the dash ), come to find out in the front blinker (not the side blinker) on the passenger side worked but my running light was out, replaced bulb and now works.

I'm thinking you have a couple of different issues.

1) I'm thinking your starter was heat soaked and damaged your solenoid.

2) as bake74 said, I think you have a bulb that is acting up, i.e. blown running lamp or turn lamp.

3) broken door jamb switch causing fuses to blow.

All my bulbs are new, and I just put in 2 new door jamb switches. On the fuse box, the 20amp fuse above the one labeled Ctsy ( which I assume is courtesy) blows before I get the fuse all the way in. Truck has been sitting for hours, still no start, not even a click.

were they the correct bulbs? or any of the sockets corroded?

So I fixed all the light issues last night, all the bulbs are correct, no corroded sockets. I went so far as to pull the fuse panel out and check for shorts, nothing there. Then it came to me, I pushed in the plunger on jamb switch on the door that was open, then put the fuse in and it worked. All the interior lights work including the blinker that was staying lit, dome light comes on when I open the doors.
The starter must have had serious heat soak, because it started right away, so I will put a heat shield on it and see if that solves my issue. Thanks to the guys who offered their help, I hate electrical issues, but  learning to embrace the challenge.
