Fuel line photos on 84 C20, anybody have some?
« on: December 15, 2013, 09:33:48 am »
Anyone have their bed off their truck that would have dual tanks? I need some photos to view to make sure I put mine back together correctly.  I have the 3 outlet fuel senders, so hopefully you will too.  That will make it easier.  Can't remember where they snake around on the frame.  Appreciate any help.  IM me and I can send my email if you have some to share.  I really need the photos from the dual switch on the cross member to each tank, including the fuel sender.   Thanks.

Can you take a photo of each sending unit on both tanks looking down on them?  Wanting to understand the direction of the lines and the pieces of tubing, and how they transition to the inside frame rail.  If you want to PM me, I can take this off line and maybe get photos that way......  Appreciate your help.

The sending units are specific to both sides.  They both point inward to the frame rails.  The side closest to the switch valve has short lines to the valve, the side furthest away have short likes to the metal crossover lines  that go across to the switch valve.  This is what the assembly looks like removed:

Mine has metal fuel lines to the passenger side. A 3 inch long rubber hose, then 6 inches of metal line where it crosses over the frame where you see that brace, then rubber lines to the sending unit.

Can someone tell me if they have photos that are showing the fuel lines secured to the frame on a truck that has dual tanks?  I'm attaching the photos of what I have, but I don't know specifically how the driver or passenger side secure to the frame.  Can someone show me the clips or bracket, so I know what to look for?  Are they rubber coated? (I didn't take it apart, but trying to put it together.)
Thanks

The pic above of mine is exactly how they came off.  The metal clips are still there.
