Is Rust in Upper Door Jam Repairable?
« on: August 21, 2015, 08:54:43 pm »
My poor truck sits outside unprotected 100% of the time and has developed cancer. One area of particular interest/concern is inside the door jamb at the top of the door. I'm unable to find any patch panels for this area. Is it reasonably repairable? Only thing I can think of besides literally bending sheet metal patches is to cut the roof off at some distance down the pillars & weld on a clean roof from a donor. Or replace the cab altogether.

Thoughts?

Need pictures to give advice. The fix depends on how large and complex the affected area.

I couldn't get the pics to upload from my phone. Said they were too big.

Can you change the resolution on you camera and try again?  Or try uploading from a computer?
