Trans mount
« on: January 17, 2016, 08:09:00 pm »
I'm looking for some info on a trans mount to replace the stock trans mount in my 73. It now has a manual 3spd trans and will be swapping in a turbo 350. I want to run dual exhaust and the stock mount has only one hump on the drivers side for the exhaust.

I will be running headman headers and 2 1/2" inside diameter exhaust.

There is a 4 speed cross member that will do what you want.  Usually dual exhaust can be routed to make it work but the right side is under the cross member.

I checked on that mount, but I don't want to drill any holes. Looking for a bolt up cross member.

dont remember the length of the trans sm465 vs th350 but i want to say the th350 is longer. so you will have to drill new bolt holes anyway

I finally crawled under the truck and found that the trans mount had been changed before. It has the humps on both sides for dual exhaust. I'll take some pics when it warms back up.
