bumpers and question

What is the difference between the truck/burb and blazer bumpers?
A friend says put a blazer bumper on. I have an 86 silverado, right now it has an aftermarket step bumper, want to get rid of it.
Is there a difference? Some say smoother/flatter.
I don't know.

The bumpers that are typically seen on Blazers/Burbs are the "factory" bumper for the pickups as in it could be ordered for the pickups also.  Many trucks were shipped without bumpers as owners wanted to put step bumpers on there.

So, the bumpers for Burb vs Blazer vs Pickup are identical.

I have the same rear bumper on my truck
