New to this site and new to the Chevy Trucks.
« on: October 27, 2006, 03:47:00 pm »
Last Sunday I bought a 1987 Chevy Silverado 3+3 Crew Cab Dooley Truck.  Never before owned a Chevy Truck.  I have a 74 Corvette with 18000 miles original, my work car is a 2005 GMC Cargo Van but this truck has something... Character...

At the begining since I have 8 other cars I was thinking about selling it... But now... I am not sure.  I was kind of disapointed because many of the after market items are made for 88 and above but I guess I have to look harder.

I am interested in knowing more about this truck.  Aftermarket stuff to customize this truck, etc.

By the way, the truck only has 130,000 miles.  The interior and exterior are in excellent conditions.  But I would like to do some custom work,

The truck will be used to haul motorcycles at our shop...

Well thank you everyone for reading my post and I look forward for everyone's input.

Regards,

Javier Acosta

Welcome from New Hampshire. Whats the drive train? 4x4?

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Jacarent-

Dont you just love the old square body Chevy trucks? Mine is a 1988 that i flew from Detroit to Los Angeles to buy and drove it all the way home. Show us some pictures and let us know what exactly  you are looking for. Oh yeah, welcome to the site, too.
