I have a 76 GMC C3500 it has hydro boost in it. I found a 84 thats in a lot better shape
Question
can I do away with the Hydro Boost and just use the Power Booster and the 76's master cylinder ?

It will work. The hydroboost is more heavy duty is all. I have mixed feelings about them.
