'06 Taurus... 3 below zero

Well something puzzling happened today with my 06 Taurus.  Very cold in the midwest being -3 out right now.  The car started ok, went in to let it warm up like I always do, came out and it had died.  Went to start it again and a relay that was clicking in time, not like a starter solenoid... I then turn the key back and remove it and all the gauges start clicking up.  The battery is up and there is no corrosion on the battery terminals.

Sorry had to do that.. Can you keep the cold in Indiana till at least Sunday ? Going camping this weekend and dont want any of the kids to get sick/hurt

So much for the global warming theory... Yes I know it is a Furd but have never had any issues with any of my previous 4 Taurus/Sables each with well over 100K when I sold them.

I'm not far from you zieg, I think the cold is just affecting the cars right now. My 94 regal cranked real slow and while driving all my lights and gauges started flickering and did it all the way home from work.

My wife's 07 sonata cranked slow too and the abs light is stuck on. I'm sure when it warms back up these things will go away.

I hope you are right... Can't afford a trip to the Ford house...

The battery was a little low on water, just above the plates.  Filled it with distilled water, 2 hours 10 amp charge and 2 amps overnight.  Seems fine now.
