i heard that you can get new body panels cheap(canadian$) under 200 for the doors, around 300 for a box side etc, does anyone know if there is any truth to this? i would rather just replace them in time then do bondo work.

not to sure but i dont think its true I looked into buying new box sides for my truck and they were 500 bucks canadian thats one side. so instead i phoned up a guy that will bring a shortbox up from arizona in perfect condition for 1000$ I could never fix my box for that amount.

You should be able to find some pieces aftermarket but look around on craigslist or your local papers for good used parts.

I bought from Sherman once, for an 86 Chevy van. The parts were complete crap. The floor patch was stamped at about a 20 degree angle to what it was cut to fit.

I've only had full panels from them and they seem ok although I did have to unpick the tailgate and re-spot it!
